Chances are, you spend a lot of time in your living room. And because you spend so much time there, you’ll likely notice when the space is in need of a refresh.
But what if you don’t have a huge budget to redecorate your living room? Are there ways to update, refresh, and redecorate the space without breaking the bank?
A recent article from realtor.com outlined budget-friendly ways to redecorate your living room, including:
- Try crown molding. If you want to make your living room feel more elegant, consider installing decorative crown molding. Not only can it add visual interest and make your space look more sophisticated, but it’s also extremely budget-friendly; according to the article, on average, installing crown molding in a living room will run between $500 and $800.
- Refresh your furniture with slipcovers. Changing up your furniture can completely change the look and feel of your living room. But replacing your furniture can be an expensive project. If you’re looking to redecorate on a budget, consider refreshing your furniture with slipcovers. You can find slipcovers in just about any color and fabric you can imagine—and they can breathe new life into your existing furniture for a fraction of the cost (often as little as $50!) of buying new pieces.
- Paint the walls. Few redecorating projects have as big of an impact—and for as affordable of a price tag—as painting. Once you choose the perfect color for your living room, you can get the paint and supplies you need to upgrade the space for between $250 and $400.
